Watch from the start but pay attention to 11 minutes in particular:

"I've seen this on other camera's actually, if the subject is too bright, it inverses the value of the pixel, it rolls over from 255 to zero! So that might be the brightest part of the image, like a negative, yeah i think that's the exact point of collision."
This flipping over you see from light to dark on screen at this point reminds me of coronal holes on the sun, where photons are moving FTL, so it inverses the value of the photon as it flips over to the other realm but as we remain the observer, they change to appear dark from our perspective:
