RS2 Posting Symbols
Posted: Wed Mar 21, 2018 9:55 pm
I have updated the posting editor with additional unicode symbols:
ℎ Planck's constant
ℏ reduced Planck's constant
Å Angstroms
℉ degrees Fahrenheit
℃ degrees Celsius
K Kelvin
ℜ Real part
ℑ Imaginary part
Ω Ohms, resistance
℧ Mhos, conductance
Also added ∝ (proportional) to the Math dropdown and ∴ (therefore) to the Logic dropdown.
I have also added a new, RS2 menu for concepts specific to RS2:
RS2 Dropdown
Linear, linear velocity
⇀ 1D vector
⇌ 1D bivector
∟ 2D plane
Angular, angular velocity
∠ 1D rotation, angle in radians
∢ 2D rotation, solid angle in steradians
⦖ 3D rotation, hyperangle (roll angle)
Vibrations
∿ Linear (1D)
⎋ Birotation (2D→1D)
⌁ Charge (1D electric or 2D magnetic)
⌇ Thermal charge (3D)
Geometric
↻ CW, Clockwise rotation
↺ CCW, Counterclockwise, anticlockwise rotation
∥ Parallel
⊥ Orthogonal, perpendicular
I chose symbols that were available in the common Arial and Times New Roman fonts, which should be available on all browsers. (If the symbols show up as a question mark or box, then you have font issues in the browser.)
Let me know if there are any additional suggestions.
