Gravitational Lensing

Discussion concerning the first major re-evaluation of Dewey B. Larson's Reciprocal System of theory, updated to include counterspace (Etheric spaces), projective geometry, and the non-local aspects of time/space.

Gravitational Lensing

Post by jpkira »

Before LIGO verified [?] Einstein his biggest hits were predicting the orbit change of Mercury [which RS has altos handled without GR] and gravitational lensing caused by large masses like the sun and galaxies. What does RS or RS2 have to say about this?

Lensing

Lensing effects are due to the same situation as the precession of the perihelion of Mercury--the presence of coordinate time.

And I should point out that the RS, being scalar, applies to all scales--atoms, being made of coordinate time, "lens" as well as stars and galaxies, which is why light of different frequencies splits into a spectrum when passing near the edge of a slit. A frequency is just a speed.
