Coincidence & Touch
<t>Empiricaly when two photons or atoms come in contact (become coincident in space) they interact, interfering with each other or simply bumping into each other.<br/> <br/> This is how the sense of touch works. Most likely it happens through superposition of the two motions (at least I cannot envis...

<t>Can't wait to start downloading the videos of the lecture.<br/> <br/> I hope that the audio will be more intelligible this time - last time that frequency response was AWFUL (might have been been the mic). The frequencies that carry speech (1kHz to 6kHz) were heavily attenuated. Just do a spectra...

Bruce, Some parameric curves involve a ratio of two magintudes (similar to space and time) coupled via simple functions. Look at the brief description of 3D NURBS below, which seem to couple 3D magnitude to 1D magnitude in their implementation. It seems that with some minor tweaking their definition...

<t>Neat explanation!<br/> <br/> They stipped the charge by colliding electrons and positrons head on at 57.77Ge.<br/> <br/> Uncharged electrons should not repel anymore.<br/> <br/> Although I wonder how can they detect uncharged electrons in vacuum, and how can the uncharged electron survive outside...

Can a ratio of 1:1 exist?
<t>Bruce,<br/> <br/> The problem with OOP is that the virtual function tables are fixed at compilation time, and the type checking is done by the compilator according to static function/procedure definitions. This means that you cannot change the class definitions at runtime, because by that time th...
