Re: Electrostatics

I notice no replies to this post in the last two years. Well, for the last several years I have studied conventional physics with a view to reconciling to RS2. I have finally reached Chapter 8, Volume 2 of The Feynman Lectures on Physics. Feynman, as you know, is highly respected and someone no one ...

Re: Cool vid on Earth's expansion

Thank you/. I had never read Gopi's articles. It comes as quite a shock to learn that the inverse square law is being so strongly challenged. Obviously my education in this area is seriously deficient. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Re: Cool vid on Earth's expansion

A calculation involving the moon's orbital radius is taken up by Paul Nahin on pages 87 - 91 of his book, In Praise of Simple Physics. He is professor emeritus of electrical engineering at the University of New Hampshire. Its based on three major assumptions: 1 - the change in the earths spin moment...

Re: Cool vid on Earth's expansion

That's not what happened, in my opinion. Stanley Kubrick is known to have faked the moon landing in a London studio. But that was only because the US military already knew at that time that there were aliens on the moon. The US Military were secretly negotiating technology transfer with aliens in or...

Re: Cool vid on Earth's expansion

"daniel" writes about a scaling problem. Look, we've known since 1969 when the Apollo 11 astronauts put corner cubes on the moon, that the moon is receding from the earth at 1.5 inches per year. This is an experimental fact. And the only way that can happen is if the moon's orbital radius ...

Re: Cool vid on Earth's expansion

The max surface temperature of the moon is generally accepted to be 123 Centigrade. Thats why theres no water on the moons surface.

Antigravity

Its time someone gave Larson credit for the discovery of antigravity (at least on this planet). He does this on page 141 of NBM where he says that "motion with negative displacement has the effect of adding more space to the existing physical situation, whatever it may be, and the electron is t...

Why is Boron so boring?

It occurred to me that Boron, next to Carbon in the Periodic Table, should have the valence attributes to form all the building blocks of complex compounds, namely positive radicals, negative radicals and magnetic neutral groups. Yet it is not nearly as prolific as carbon in forming chains and rings...

Re: Valence Zero Shift?

I think that a minor clarfication of Larson is required to explain diatomic gases. The noble gases are the major monatomic gases, correct? The reason appears to be zero electric displacement of these elements. How are we to explain the diatomic gases of Division I,II and III since Larson claims that...

Re: Valence Zero Shift?

The spinning gear explanation is a work of beauty. Thank you so much. I just want to say that I hope someday you put all these wonderful clarifications of Larson's work into a formal textbook. It wont be long before RS2 is mainstream and it needs a formal presentation complete with all the derivatio...
